A DAYSeniors who have at least a 3.8 GPA are eligible for the Byrd Honor Scholarship. Come to the counseling office to pick up an application for this $1500 scholarship. It's due March 31st so you'll have to hurry!
Attention 9th graders: Awesome free summer opportunity! The 2010 Energy Summer Institute, sponsored by the University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources, is a two-week summer residential program for students currently enrolled in 9th grade. In addition to attending classes, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of recreational, cultural and social events. Applications and more information are available at www.uwyo.edu/energyinstitute. The application deadline is March 31st.
For anyone interested in Spring Golf there will be a brief meeting in the underground on Monday, March 22nd at 3:15 pm.
Any seniors planning to attend Casper College next year and have at least a 2.5 GPA can come in to the counseling office to pick up a Martha V scholarship. It only takes about 5 minutes to fill out and is usually worth $300 - $400! It's due April 1st so make sure you come down this month!
The library will be closed during PAWS testing. You may use the library before and after school.
The Creative Writing class would like to remind everyone that the general deadline for submitting work to Voices and Visions, KW’s fine arts magazine is Monday, Marc22nd. Please send electronic copies of literary works or photography/graphic arts to Rod Mahaffey’s email or drop hard copies by Room 44.. We look forward to your submissio.
The Engineering Summer Program offers high school juniors an opportunity to participate in a week of hands-on experiences in various engineering fields. Students who are interested in any career area are encouraged to apply. The field of engineering can often be excellent preparation for advanced degrees and careers in medicine, law, business as well as various fields in engineering. ESP is held on the University of Wyoming campus June 13th - June 19th. The cost of the program is $75. The application deadline is March 26th.
